In the midst of a drug induced sexual revolution in the turbulent 1960s that swept up a generation of godless rebels, Heaven intervened. God the Father released an outpouring of His Holy Spirit and gathered hundreds of thousands, if not millions, in that lost generation to Jesus. Broken in repentance for their sins at the foot of the bloody cross multitudes were reborn, buried with Christ in water baptism and raised from the dead to walk in newness of life.

On August 5th, 1972 the Jesus Movement that began on the West Coast reached a helpless, hopeless, godless 23-year-old in Johnstown, New York known as Overdose. On the night of my conversion the entire trajectory of my life changed. Sin’s curse and the chains of addiction were broken as I ran to the God I had spent most of my life running away from. Since that incredible encounter at the foot of the cross, I have had the honor of running with the Precious Savior of lost souls in a ministry that has spanned 50 years.

The Lord commissioned me to call this convocation of men and women who were apprehended by Jesus in that historic outpouring of the Holy Spirit. This call to gather is not so ‘has beens’ can reminisce about a move of God that once was. Rather, it is a gathering Heaven has ordained to initiate a gospel saturated outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Western New York.
