Rock The Universe

Offering more performances per night than ever before, the seventh annual Rock The Universe at Universal Studios presents 24 of the best performers in Christian rock and contemporary praise and worship music, converging for two nights of inspiring music and cutting-edge rides and attractions.

From the top-selling Mercy Me, to Grammy-winning Audio Adrenaline, and up-and-coming, Dove award-nominated Casting Crowns, on Friday and Saturday, September 10 and 11, Rock The Universe will feature two jam-packed nights of the best in Christian music.  Combined with the cutting-edge and thrilling attractions and rides of Universal Studios, including Universal’s latest technologically advanced, psychological thrill ride – Revenge of the Mummy –  The Ride, music fans will experience an evening that is sure to Rock The Universe.

“For six years we’ve showcased the best Christian rock performers and highlighted the Christian music stars of tomorrow for thousands of Christian and mainstream music fans,” said Skip Sherman, Universal Orlando senior vice president of entertainment.  “This year we are taking it to the next level with the most music-packed evenings ever, including 12 performances per night and the addition of a praise and worship stage, offering an unparalleled concert experience.”

The explosive line up includes: the rock and funk sounds of Grammy-winning Audio Adrenaline; the polished and energetic song craft of the Newsboys; the thought-provoking lyrics and pop contemporary sounds of up-and-coming Casting Crowns; Toby Mac and his musical infusion of reggae, hip-hop and rock guitar; the heart felt worship songs of best-selling Mercy Me; Reliant K’s catchy tunes, high energy and explosive guitar sounds; Building 429’s inspirational rock music; the alternative rock beats of Kutless and Rock & Roll Worship Circus; the hip-hop and rap combinations of KJ 52 and John Reuben; the pop/rock-influenced sounds of Australian Paul Colman; the R&B sounds of ZOEgirl; the conscientious lyrics and rock melodies of Barlow Girl and Everlife; and the pop and indie-rock sounds of Jeff Adams.  This year Christian rock will be accompanied by the inspiring praise and worship renderings of the David Crowder Band, Chris Tomlin, Seven Places, Shane & Shane, Telecast and Paul Clark & Mission Road.  In addition, two up-and-coming showcase acts will perform and inspirational speakers Ron Luce and Jay Strack will also appear.
